I've been reading the Speed Tax Collection stories and I agree that the speed limits in BC are too low. I recently did a tour north of Creston hitting a lot of the more popular DHs.

But while on my tour I fortunately saw very few STCs and was lucky enough not to get stopped by any. However two weeks after I got home I received a ticket in the mail for passing on double yellow! Not only that but both my riding buddies also received tickets for the same day. 

The interesting part is that it wasn't an STC who saw me. Some concerned member of the public copied down our license numbers and then took time out of their day to go to the police station and file a report and agree to show up in court if needed just so we could be issued tickets! 

Just though I'd give everyone a heads up, its not just the cops you have to worry about. Look out for the people going 10km under the speed limit who get annoyed when you pass them.
