Being a retired Mountie, I read with interest stories about highway patrol
members and what the public/riders/police think. I just completed a 9 day trip
through BC on my cruiser bike which started in Calgary, through the Duffey Lake
Hwy, rode some wonderful DHs on Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast, then on a
run up to New Denver, Nakusp, Kaslo, Creston & home.
During the 9 days I did not see ONE policeman on the road (maybe I was lucky?).
Being a novice rider I did not ride as fast as some but was over the limit often.
Like one comment read, those double solid lines are a PAIN!. My only comment to
those who like the highway to themselves is ride in September, you'll be alone
most of the time & with any luck won't see any Speed Tax Collectors.
By the way, I've ridden the best 5 DHs in your DHBC this year and will do them
again and again....
