This little-known and sparsely travelled route, which
leaves heavily trafficked Hwy 97 at Oliver and returns to it just south of
Penticton, is a real discovery. Although the DH is narrow and shoulderless,
the pavement is fairly smooth and predictable, and well suited to its
moderate curves. The scenery of the southern Okanagan’s back country is
dramatic at times, changing from rocky hills and forested canyons to
farmland and dry plateaus. With lots of TEs intersecting at various points
and other DHs close by, you’ll have fun mixing and matching with this one.
