favorite combinations (not too much of both at the same time, of course).
Located in Snoqualmie (one block North of the Train Museum and Snoqualmie
Market) just east of Fall City near the end of SEA TEs K & L, they
offer a full line of hearty sandwiches, soups and nachos in addition to a
robust spectrum of ales. Skid on in and they'll give you the discount for

      always working, apparently.

Owned by riders Jim and Lacie Willis, the "Main",
as we affectionately call it, is on Omak's Hwy 97 business loop and
conveniently located between DH29 and DH69 either side of town, with many
other DHs nearby in the North Cascades and the Okanogan Highlands regions.
Omak, of course, is the home of the annual world-famous Suicide Race and
Stampede, always the 2nd weekend of August. With a full bar, this
establishment says it has more beers on tap than any other bar in town
(including Guinness, and that's cool). Being riders, the owners know how
hard it is to find decent food on the road and take pride in offering up
the best they can to fellow riders. There's no DH Rider Discount on booze
but they always have drink specials.

hot deluxe breakfast buffet, featuring scrambled eggs, sausage,
biscuits and gravy, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, waffles, cereals,
English muffins, bagels, fruit juices coffee and more. Hey, Omak just

you contemplate the surrounding glories of DH1, DH29, DH39 and associated
TEs. In the high season, we suggest you reserve since Winthrop's a pretty
popular spot, not surprising really, given that it's at one end of DH1.

If you're riding just below the BC/WA border in the
Okanagan Highlands with it's fabulous roads and small population, you may
want to consider overnighting here. Located right at the end of DH11TE-A,
this place comes highly recommended by DH riders Lee and Anita Riggs who
inform us that innkeepers Sam and Sharon Glass were very bike friendly and
were the "ultimate hosts" in welcoming them to their beautiful
Inn. High praise, indeed. And if you can't trust the recommendation of a
fellow DH rider, who can you trust?
