Hugging the southern shore of the main arm of Shuswap
Lake, this dead-ender offers excellent, well-paved twisties and beautiful
lakeside views. It is cottage-ridden, particularly through the villages of
Blind Bay and Eagle Bay, and there is a 60-kmh (40- mph) zone that covers
much of the route. Fortunately, though, many of the turns are tight enough
that the lower speed limit is not that much of an issue. You don’t have to
retrace the entire DH on the way back either: you can take the Balmoral Rd
shortcut to DH14 and avoid re-riding the western 10.0
