Heading north of town, this DH rolls through a landscape of verdant farms
and patches of forest framed by low-key, wooded hills. The pavement is of
mixed quality, some corners are blind and there’s even 2.5 km (1.6 mi) of
hardpack gravel at the very top. But the twisties and lack of traffic more
than make up for these foibles. And when you get back to Lumby? Why not have
a barley sandwich at the Blue Ox Pub and watch the bikes go by?
