We love "old" roads-- especially when they’ve
been recently paved. And when there’s a "new" road nearby
soaking up the traffic, we love ‘em even more. This joyous romp through
the Cowichan Demonstration Forest steals alongside the newer, straighter and
very boring Cowichan Valley Hwy. No sweeping panoramas here; you’re treed
in most of the way. Since houses skirt most of this 60-kmh (40-mph) posted
route, vehicles can pop out of hidden driveways just as you’re maximizing
your exit speed out of the corners. But even with one finger covering your
brake, you can really rock to this oldie.
